What We Believe
  • We are Reformed Credo-Baptist and endorse the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith

  • Triune God. We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • Holy Scriptures. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant word of God and is the final authority in all matters.

  • Total Depravity. We believe that man is a fallen creature, dead in his trespasses and sins. Therefore, he is unable to save himself from the wrath of God's judgement.

  • Saving Grace / Election. We believe that God, from eternity past, has elected to himself a people that He has decreed to save by virtue of His grace, for His own good pleasure, of His own will, for His divine purpose. He will convert the hearts of these people so they will desire God and the things of God, and will freely call upon His name to be saved.

  • Deity of Jesus Christ. We believe that God the Son, the Second Person of the Trinity, was born of flesh and blood, fully God and fully man, lived a perfect, sinless life, was crucified for the sins of His people, the elect, and rose again bodily on the third day.

  • The Local Church. We believe in the autonomy of the local church, and the rule over the local church by elders. The local church is to: edify and encourage the saints through the expository teaching of the Word, practice the ordinances of baptism and communion, and to exercise discipline when necessary.

  • Baptism. We believe that water baptism under the New Covenant is associated with belief, faith, repentance, salvation, and being a disciple of Christ. It is an outward symbol of the internal Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we believe that a person must be able to follow the Scriptural command to believe and repent before they can receive the ordinance of baptism.

  • The Lord's Supper. We believe that the Lord's supper/communion was instituted by the Lord Jesus Christ the same night wherein he was betrayed, to be observed in his churches unto the end of the world, for the perpetual remembrance, and showing forth the sacrifice in His death and all the benefits thereof. All ignorant and ungodly persons not being able to examine themselves are unfit to enjoy communion and cannot do so without great sin against Him. But let a man examine himself.

  • The Christian Sabbath. The first day of the week is the Lord's Day. It is a Christian institution for regular observance. It commemorates the resurrection of Christ from the dead and points to that final rest that remains for the people of God. It should include exercises of worship and spiritual devotion, both public and private.

  • Perseverance of the Saints. Those who have a genuine faith in Christ will be kept by God forever and will persevere to the end. Their outward conformity to the Word of God demonstrates that they are truly saved and will truly persevere. Those who profess faith in Christ and appear to be true believers, and yet later fall away, were never really a part of God's people in the first place.
